Captain B was a Certified American Red Cross Sailing Instructor and Instructor Trainer at its National Aquatic School for five annual sessions.  He has also held many sailing club offices from Fleet Captain to Commodore, served as President of the Force 5 Class Association, has presided as Race Chairman and Primary Race Officer for a multitude of regattas, and has solo-traveled the Intracoastal Waterway from Massachusetts to Florida.  He is also an ASA certified instructor for Basic Keelboat, Basic Coastal Cruising and Coastal Navigation courses.

He currently holds a USCG 100 ton Master Mariner’s License with Sailing and Towing endorsements, as well as an Operator of Uninspected Power Vessels,

Captain B’s training as a sailing instructor for youth and adult programs, coupled with the patience he earned as a part-time school teacher and school bus driver, will provide you with a thorough, safe and fun learning opportunity.
