Fleet Boats

All sailboats are fully equipped with mainsail & jib plus required Coast Guard equipment. Inspected annually by the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Sailboats from 14 to 23 feet are available in the Boat Club fleet. The fleet currently includes:

 Sunfish 14’ - is a one-design sailing dinghy which can be sailed with one or two person(s) but is most often sailed singlehanded.

 

Specifications:  LOA: 13 feet 9 inches (4.2 m) in length, Beam: 4 ft 1in, Hull weight: 130 lb, Total Sail Area: 75 ft.

O’Day Javelin 14’ - designer placed special emphasis on stability (a beam that measures 4'6" at the waterline) and roominess (almost ten feet of cockpit space), without sacrificing speed and maneuverability, so she'll ghost in zephyrs and plane in heavier winds.

SPECIFICATIONS: Beam: 5'8"; Draft: Centerboard up 6"; down 3'10"; Sail area: 125 sq. ft.; Positive foam flotation; Foam filled spars; kick up rudder and centerboard

Flying Scot 19’ - is designed to be a family day-sailer that will accommodate a family of eight. Great for beginners as it's responsive, forgiving, stable and easy to handle. The Scot's performance offers excitement to even the most experienced sailor. 

SPECIFICATIONS: 28' Mast height, above water; 191 sq. ft Sail Area, main and jib; 6'9" Beam; 8" Draft, board up; 48" Draft, board down

Catalina 22’ - is a popular sailboat produced by Catalina Yachts. Its hull measures 21 foot 6 inches (6.55 m), which is rounded up to 22 feet (6.7 m) for use in the model's name. First produced in 1968, it is one of the longest continuously produced sailboats in the world. Equipped with a roller furling jib makes it ready to sailing in a matter of minutes.

Precision 23’ - The P-23 features a simple fractional rig mast that is easy put up and with her short spreaders & inboard chainplates, upwind performance is impressive Lively performance, reliable handling and high stability are all the hallmarks of the Jim Taylor designed boat. Special emphasis has gone into giving the P-23 her particular bright and uncluttered interior. The especially large companionway, multiple cabin ports and forward hatch contribute to the feeling of light & open space. The design provides a reassuring margin of both reserve buoyancy forward and ensures more knockdown stability.
